I presume it will take ages for CM to rectify that, since the first issue isn't going anywhere, so this should save you some troubleshooting yourselves.

If I don't do this, the game will keep 1080p 24 Hz only.

Now, since upgrading to the 2015 TV I have a new problem - each time I launch the game, I not only need to preset the WIN 10 desktop res and refreshing to 1080p/60Hz, but also I need to go to the in game menus->graphical and change out from the FULL Screen to windowed, confirm, and then change back to full screen. SO TO ALL OF YOU PLAYING ON A TV - GAME MODE in your TV settings IS THE ONLY WAY TO PLAY! It looks a bit worse visually, but it's better for your eyes and you can see more.Īlso, rename your HDMI source input in the TV to PC. So literally, I had to wait a second after pressing any button in the game menu to see a result, or I had to tune my brain in a way, that I act 0,5-1s earlier to everything on the track!Īnd that's ALL MY INITIAL 350 hours of playing DR! All the times I was getting angry the car is slow to react, every time I was to slow to react to a slide, brake and such. 0,5s! That's a lot! Imagine what happens it you try to get your car out of trouble on track with +0,5 s lag on your wheel].įurthermore, I didn't have the previous TV set up to GAME MODE, but had it set up to SMOOTH, which was the worse one and added like another 0,5 s to the lag. In real life terms - with the previous TV, once in the Dirt menus I had to wait 0,5 s between pressing a navigation right button on my wheel and seeing the menu change to the one beside on screen. What does this mean? I didn't know before but from my understanding it means that with that TV there is roughly a 20 ms lag between me pressing a key on my G27 and seeing the result on the screen.

This resulted in not being able to get 60 fps in the game, but 30Hz max, which according to this site. Since day one if I wanted to play DR 1080p/60Hz I would have to set up the WINDOWS DESKTOP resolution and refreshing rate to that, otherwise the game setups were overriden by desktop settings. The obvious limitation for me at the moment is playing through HDMI 2.0 in the TV and HDMI 1.4 on GPU, which limits my FPS to 60 or Not a big deal, I play 1080p 60Hz anyway.įor the last few months I've been using a curved 4k 55" Samsung - UE55HU7200U. I'm not a big gamer, DR is basically the first game I've been playing religiously since I was a teenager, before that some RPG style stuff would work well on a TV, so I didn't mind the 30Hz/60Hz fps limit.
